Every now and then I get bored. One way I enjoy killing off time is by digging around TinyURL by modifying URLs and seeing what people have found interesting enough to compress. Among the 404s and forwarded news clippings, I sometimes find hilarious sites, otherwise orphaned pages, heated Usenet flamewars and everything else imaginable.
Some notables from today:
- http://tinyurl.com/b652 - a unicyclist in Vancouver asks about her "fantasy" ride
- http://tinyurl.com/b661 - the US 9th Circuit has ruled that citizens have no right to bear arms (anyone follow-up on this?)
- http://tinyurl.com/b673 - The Strokes - Last Night - Karaoke version MP3!
- http://tinyurl.com/b683 - driving directions from someone's house to someone else's house
- http://tinyurl.com/b684 - pictures from a trip to the zoo
- http://tinyurl.com/b691 - "cat/bear porn" (surprisingly, safe for work)
- http://tinyurl.com/b693 - God's Master Plan for Educating Children
Every once in a while, I'll come across personal information that was probably intended only for the recipient of the link. I guess some people just never think of privacy.
Anyone else have any good links? :-)

That is pretty funny. Now I want a web app that loads a random tinyurl in a frame and lets you navigate to new ones, kind of like the Random Personal Picture Finder. http://diddly.com/random/
A couple of minutes of searching didn't turn one up, so I might have to write my own.
